Self-hosted WordPress plugin
Sitified vs MotoPress Hotel Booking
On features, MotoPress matches us more closely than any hosted builder does. It's the running cost, the upkeep and the blank page that get you: about $500 to $725 a year once hosting, translation and SEO are in, and every word is yours to write.
The most feature-complete of the WordPress hotel plugins: room types, seasonal rates, deposits, taxes and iCal sync with the OTAs, plus a stack of paid add-ons. You host it, write it and maintain it yourself.

Feature by feature
The 11 things that decide whether a hotel website wins direct bookings, and how each product handles them.
| Criterion | Sitified | MotoPress Hotel Booking |
|---|---|---|
| Page load speedHow fast your site loads on a phone. Measured with Google's own yardstick, Core Web Vitals: main content up within 2.5 seconds. | Pre-built HTML served from a CDN. There's no page-builder code to download before your photos appear, which is the usual reason a builder site fails Core Web Vitals.[S3] | Down to the host and theme you choose. Nothing in the plugin guarantees it.[1] |
| Responsive designLooks and works right on phone, tablet and desktop, where most guests actually browse. | A responsive, per-hotel design system. Every layout is built to work from phone to desktop. | Inherits your theme's styling. MotoPress sells companion themes (~$89) precisely so it looks right.[1] |
| What it costs, all inThe real price. Most builders quote a low number, then charge again for hosting, booking and the add-ons you actually need. | $10/month, all-in. Hosting, content, live rates and the booking engine are in the one price. Your card processor still takes its own cut, as it does everywhere. | $139/yr for one site, or $499 lifetime, but hosting sits on top. Realistically $500–$725 a year once hosting, WPML and an SEO plugin are added.[3] |
| Who writes the contentWho writes the words and picks the photos. Most tools hand you an empty template to fill in yourself. | Your site arrives written. We read your real reviews, amenities and photos, then write every page and every room from them. You start from a finished site, not a blank page. | Every room, rate, photo and description typed in by hand through the WordPress admin.[1] |
| Who keeps it up to dateWhen search rules change or a new page type ships, does it reach your site on its own, or does someone have to go and do it? | Because we host your site, SEO improvements, new sections and fixes reach it automatically. No admin, no plugin updates. | You apply plugin, theme and security updates yourself, and auto-updates need an active licence.[1] |
| Live rates and direct bookingCan a guest pick real dates, see your real price and book on your own site, without you paying an OTA commission? | Open-API channel-manager integration. Your rooms, rates and availability come from Effective Tours, so the guest books with you, not with Booking.com.[S1] | Real iCal sync with Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, TripAdvisor and HomeAway, refreshable every 15 minutes. A calendar file exchange, not a live API.[1] |
| Payment providersCan you connect your own payment account, or are you locked into the platform's own processor and its cut? | Connect your own account from 150+ payment providers. No proprietary lock-in, no forced processor.[S2] | The best gateway coverage of the three: PayPal, Stripe (with Apple/Google Pay, Klarna, iDEAL, SEPA), Braintree, 2Checkout, Bambora, plus pay-on-arrival.[1] |
| Social-media managementCan you write and schedule posts to Instagram or Facebook from the same tool that runs your site? | Not yet. It's being built, and we'd rather say that than pretend. | Not offered.[1] |
| Keeping the words freshDoes someone keep rewriting your copy as the hotel changes, or does the site slowly go stale? | A content-refresh subscription on top of the $10. We rewrite your copy as the hotel changes, in all your languages, so you never hire a copywriter. | Your licence buys updates and support. A paid configuration service exists, but it's one-time setup, not content.[1] |
| Languages, built inMulti-language for international guests, included rather than a paid add-on plugin. | Any language, with up to 10 live on the site at once. The list isn't fixed: ask for Portuguese and Spanish and we add them. Each gets its own pages and URLs, so search engines index them properly, and you can edit any of it. | Officially tested with WPML only, a separate paid plugin. No free translation route, unlike the other two.[1] |
| SEO, done for youSearch-engine structure and metadata, handled for you rather than a separate plugin to configure. | SEO is wired in, not a plugin you configure. Sitemap, hreflang for every language, and structured data for the hotel and each room. | No built-in SEO. You install and configure Yoast or RankMath yourself.[1] |

Why hoteliers choose Sitified over MotoPress Hotel Booking
- 01
The features are comparable. The bill isn't: roughly $500–$700 a year with hosting, translation and SEO, against our $120.
- 02
You write everything. MotoPress gives you empty room types; Sitified fills them from your real reviews and photos.
- 03
Someone has to keep WordPress, the theme and the plugins patched, forever. With us there's nothing to maintain.
- 04
iCal is a calendar swap on a timer. Our Effective Tours integration reads live rates and availability.
What MotoPress Hotel Booking does better
No product wins on everything. These are the places MotoPress Hotel Booking has us beaten.
On raw hotel features it's the most complete thing in this comparison: room types, seasonal rates, deposits, extra services, taxes and fees, all properly modelled.
The best payment coverage of the WordPress trio, with most gateways native rather than paid add-ons.
A lifetime licence at $499. If you'll run the same site for a decade, that beats any subscription, ours included.
You own the database and the media, and can move the whole thing to another host whenever you like.
In fairness — If you already run WordPress and have someone technical around, MotoPress is a genuinely capable hotel booking system: real seasonal rates, deposits, taxes and fees, all built in. HBook covers similar ground for less, but MotoPress supports more property types and has the broadest built-in payment list of the three. The trade is that you're buying software, not a finished website.
